but each insurance plan is different.
Nutritional counseling or medical nutrition
therapy may not be covered on your plan. If it
is, some diagnosis codes may be excluded, or
may only cover specific conditions for a
limited number of hours per year.
Some insurance companies only offer a
discount program (save 20% to 25% off billed
rates), other insurance companies will only
pay 50% of the billed rate. The member is
responsible for the balance not covered by
insurance on the day of service.
